![]() Not sure how it's normal for a game to cut off in the middle of playing, but whatever. I asked security (since they were the closest) if they could notify someone to come to my game and they tried to make it seem like that happening was normal. Secondly, in the casino, while playing at one of the machines, it just turned off with no warning. It shouldn't take 3 hours for extra towels to be sent to the room. The crazy part is that housekeeping was only a few doors down from us, so not sure what the holdup was. If the phone in the room would've been working, that might've helped, so we wouldn't have to keep going back down to the lobby. For there being 4 of us, two towels are definitely not enough. We had to go down to the lobby not once but THREE times (over the span of about 3 hours) just to have housekeeping notified that we were requesting more towels. The biggest issue that my family and I had was that housekeeping was not great. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely could've been better. At this price point, I cannot recommend to anyone. Had drink at bar (opened at 5pm and last call is 8:30pm) and bartender was very nice, so they get 2-stars due to her. Television is on a sliding shelf, but it is not attached, beware - my hubby caught it! If you get what you pay for, maybe you will have an okay stay, but property in general is run down. There is a coffee maker, but no outlet, so have to move it into bathroom is want to use it (this is where I am charging phone). Saw one of the mansion rooms, they seem larger & cleaner. Note that website says this room has tub/shower - it does not. Really disappointed, booked for anniversary. No luggage assistance, or showing to room. Booked a mansion deluxe room for $250 and ended up in the "boys wing" room #3. Never could get a confirmation e-mail, but was able to access booking on-line through their website, so I wasn't concerned, until we checked in and I could not access it any longer. It’s an hour from New Orleans, but if you have the chance, absolutely go and visit it, it’s worth it!ĭirty/dusty. Also, you can’t take pictures on the inside which we would have loved to, but at least we could take pictures on the balcony and it’s definitely a view worth taking pictures of! It was very nice to visit also the slave houses and learn more about the history and evolution of the plantation, it made the whole visit more grounded in the reality. Maybe the tour was a little bit too fast (we would have liked to have more time to read about the history of the place, about the artifacts, but while we were doing that the tour guide was already talking in another room so we had to rush). We loved the house, it was so well preserved! The tour guide was very nice and she answered to all our questions. Would recommend as a fun stop.ĭelightful! We loved it! We got there for the earliest tour in the morning and it was just perfect because we had the time to enjoy the beautiful 200 years old oaks and the alley before it got crowdier. They are rebuilding their facilities that were destroyed during a hurricane so they use a temporary building for the gift shop and check in areas but the land is owned by them so you’re not competing with other boats out there on the property. Fun trip and guide was really good with everyone. It did sprinkle a little while we were out there but the boat has a top on it which is probably great in the full sun and it kept the rain off. Weather was a bit cooler so some of the bigger gators were not out but we still had fun running around the swamp and seeing some of the midsize gators come to the boat to get fed. Everyone there was super nice and it was fun to get out on the boat relax for a little bit and watch them talk about the gators. It takes a little longer to get to them on Highway 10 then the map shows but all in all it’s super easy to find and make it to their parking lot. Took a trip to New Orleans to do something different and weather was really bad downtown, but clear outside of town, last minute found Cajun pride swamp tours online gave them a call and they said if we could make it there in time we’d have a ride to get on…. ![]()
